About The AFF
The Armed Forces Foundation offers vital assistance to active-duty and retired military personnel, National Guard, Reserve Components and military families. This includes direct financial assistance, therapeutic recreational and outreach programs, hospital dinners and national education initiatives. With the launch of our Help Save Our Troops campaign, the AFF proactively educates Americans about the hidden wounds of war, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and advocates for those troops and veterans who have suffered these hidden wounds.
We are a Washington, DC based nonprofit organization committed to serving the members of our Armed Services and assisting them in their time of greatest need. Since 2001 the foundation has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for hotel bills and to offset the expenses of families visiting a loved one in the hospital. Programs offered through the foundation include the Family Assistance program, Family Bereavement assistance for surviving family members, hospital dinners, Troops to the Track with our partner NASCAR, Operation Caring Classroom – a national education initiative, School Counselor Program, ProCamps, as well as the Classic Outdoors Sports Program which includes hunting and fishing programs for troops and their families. The staff of the foundation regularly visit with wounded troops at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to provide family support and show them our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. At the Armed Forces Foundation we treat the family as a whole and believe that service members and their families need support.
The Armed Forces Foundation is an IRS Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. Our Federal Tax ID number is: 75-3070368. All gifts and donations to the Armed Forces Foundation are tax deductible (CFC# 12247). The AFF and troops appreciate your support and generosity.
