Bill and Beverly Young Financial Assistance Fund, named after Congressman Bill Young and his wife Beverly, provides direct financial assistance to Service members and their families facing financial hardship through injury and other service related situations. With the ability to provide money to service members and their families from all branches of service, the Foundation makes a valued impact on the lives of those who serve the United States.
DISCLAIMER: The AFF can only offer assistance to active duty personnel, mobilized Guardsmen and Reservists, and veterans who have separated from active duty within the past 18 months.
*As of July 15, 2011 all financial assistance applicants MUST complete a Wells Fargo Hands on Banking spending plan sheet to be submitted with their applications. After July 15, any applications submitted without this sheet included WILL NOT be processed.*
The Financial Assistance Fund concentrates on these primary areas:
Family Financial Assistance
The Armed Forces Foundation helps families cover such expenses as:
- Utility bills
- Rent or mortgage payments (for civilian housing)
- Car payments (not registration)
- Car insurance
This Program provides tangible comfort to the families of Service Members dealing with a recent loss.
The foundation’s Bereavement Program offers help for immediate military family members in times of mourning. Due to variety of situations that can impact military families these services are offered at a case-by-case basis.
