Answering The Call of Duty

Each year the Armed Forces Foundation continues to increase and customize its to meet the ever-changing needs of the Armed Forces communtiy. It is the Foundation's duty, honor and privilege to aid those who have sacrificed so much for their country.

A moment comes in the lives of all American troops when they are asked to leave behind their families, friends, and the comforts of home. They are prepared to defend the ideals of a nation, a nation that puts trust in its brave men and women to keep us safe and to make us proud. At the Armed Forces Foundation, we commit ourselves to serving our troops and their families by offering support in their time of greatest need.

The charge of caring and compassion made by President Lincoln on March 4, 1865 still resonates with us today. Some 140 years later, we, as citizens of this great country, have the unique opportunity and responsibility to put President Lincoln’s words into action.

FAST FACTS:

The Armed Forces Foundation s a Washington, DC based nonprofit committed to serving the members of our Armed Forces and assisting them in their time of greatest need.
The Armed Forces Foundations primary mission is to support and assist our military families with financial grants and other types of relief. It has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for hotel bills and to offset the expenses of families visiting a loved one in the hospital. It also purchases, builds and renovates homes enabling wounded Veterans and their families to live in environments that accommodate their needs. In times of loss, the Foundation helps surviving family members with costs and offers grief counseling. It provides career counseling for wounded Service Members and their spouses so that they can go back to school or be hired for a job.
