Our Veterans are finding that once they’re released from the hospital, the true hardships begin. Everyday challenges of a new life such as finding a home, continuing their education, or finding appropriate employment is made more difficult as a result of the sacrifices these Veterans have made.

The AFF’s Information Services Program helps support these hardships by helping injured Veterans fill out VA claims and answering important questions regarding various medical boards. Our staff has intimate knowledge on dealing with almost every facet of the programs, processes and sometimes more importantly the paperwork, involved with improving one’s transition.

With so many programs and organization devoted to helping our nations wounded, Veterans can sometimes feel overwhelmed. Our program is designed to serve as a guide through all of this information, so our wounded soldiers can spend more time healing and less time dealing with paperwork and phone calls.

“Mentoring Wounded Warriors”

The AFF’s Injured Warrior Mentor program provides career counseling and job placement for transitioning veterans. The mentoring program stars by addressing immediate hospital needs and ends after a successful transition into the civilian job sector. The program has evolved out of the recognized need to provide our nation’s injured with a veteran who has been through the system. The Veteran serves as mentor as well as a “one-stop” resource for information on benefits, programs, other organizations and correctly filing out necessary paperwork.
