Through its Classic Outdoor Sports Program, the Foundation plans hunting, fishing,
and other outdoor recreational events around the country for our brave wounded warriors
and their families. These activities are termed "social reintegration" by therapists.
They are not just the clinical rehabilitation win which injured military personnel
usually participate in; they also provide disabled Veterans with hope that they can
live active and productive lives. The program helps bolster their confidence and
self esteem, while serving as a venue for them to assimilate with the public.
Judge Julie Mogenis, the director of the Classic Outdoor Sports Programs, and host
of the internationally broadcast outdoor television series Huntin’ with the Judge,
features injured services members in many of her weekly televised hunts. The show
is on 7 days a week on 3 different networks across America. Besides donating time,
travel, production costs and contributions from her sponsors, the Judge recently
developed a new project. The "Take a Vet Hunting" project allows for a hunter to
buy a trophy hunt at a regular price from a participating ranch, and the host of
the accompanying vet is given a 40% discount on the soldier’s trophy. This project
has been extremely successful so far - taking vets on dream hunts in Canada and Oklahoma
for bull elk and monster rack whitetail.

Aff
extends a special thanks to the following supporters
of our troops.

Proffessional angler Janet Parker has provided the foundation with
countless contributions while she tours nationally on the Women’s
Bassmaster Tour. An active member of the Foundation’s Outdoor Sports
Advisory Board, Janet manages all of the program’s fishing trips.
In 2007, Janet affirmed her support and donated 100% of her sponsorship
money to the foundation. In addition, Janet has made it possible for
soldiers to attend events such as Talladega and Hunting & Fishing on
Real Foot Lake; and is one of the organization’s most visible contributors.
Janet is on a personal mission to help the foundation raise two million
dollars and continues to tirelessly promote the "Support the Troops"
awareness campaign.
The Outdoor Sports Program has a high profile thanks to interest from the
media. The program has been recognized by Congressional Leaders, ESPN,
ESPN2, Outdoor Channel, The Sportsman Channel, Pentagon channel, Fox News,
and a host of other supporters for its dedication to our service members
and their families. Millions of viewers have tuned in and gained exposure
to the organization thanks to various television shows such as Huntin’ with
the Judge, Mossy Oak Hunting the Country, and The North American Hunter.
