Bereavement Services

This Program provides tangible comfort to the families of Service Members dealing with a recent loss.

The foundation’s Bereavement Program helps to augment funeral costs and travel arrangements for military families in times of mourning. In an attempt to help families cope with loss, the AFF offers family retreats and provides for professional grief counseling.

The program offers a wide range of support for families in need. Assisting with estate settlement and investment planning services are additional forms of assistance offered by the foundation. In addition, scholarships for spouses as well as children are available through the Foundation’s Yellow Ribbon Scholarship Fund.

Since its creation, the program has assisted many families with bereavement related expenses. Whether covering the cost of a funeral procession, hotel costs, receptions or flower arrangements, the foundation has maintained its promise of Serving Those Who Serve, especially in trying times.

When soldiers make the ultimate sacrifice for our country, their loved ones are left with the task of accommodating the proper arrangements deserving of the individual. The AFF proudly helps families cope in these times of mourning and offers its services unconditionally.
