
On June 26, 2010 the third Project American Heroes (PAH) car was auctioned at
the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in Orange County, California. The PAH car is
a classic 1970 Chevelle beautifully restored by Route 66 Motorsports. For the
third consecutive year, Super Chevy magazine and Route 66 motorsports, a custom
auto restoration shop based near Chicago, came together to produce the Project
American Heroes car. The car raised $250,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Collector
Car Auction with all proceeds benefitting the Armed Forces Foundation. |

"AFF" to 50555 to Donate $10 Now
Aaron's Corporation, the leading national sales and lease ownership
chain, has partnered with the Armed Forces Foundation to raise funds
through a cell phone texting campaign. We're encouraging partners,
Aaron's customers and friends to text 'AFF' to 50555 and contribute
$10 that will support our country's military their families. The
text campaign will run through the end of 2010, and all funds raised
will go directly to the Armed Forces Foundation. |

The June 2009 edition of DC Modern Luxury contains a familiar face.
Patricia Driscoll, President of the Armed Forces Foundation was dubbed
the "super-patriot" by the glossy media outlet. In the article,
Patricia discusses the Foundation's new book, Hidden Battles on
the Unseen Fronts, as well as her relationships with celebrities
that support the AFF and our Troops, such as Hilary Duff and Ron White.

Hidden Battles on Unseen Fronts Stories of American Soldiers with Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD
The Armed Forces Foundation's new book, "Hidden Battles On
Unseen Fronts", authored by Foundation President Patricia
Driscoll and Foundation Supporter / Author Celia Straus... documents
the increasing number of cases of physical and mental/brain trauma
such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury
(TBI) among our veterans returning home from the conflicts in Iraq
and Afghanistan. As advancements in medical science have allowed more
of our soldiers to survive their physical wounds the veteran healthcare
community faces many new challenges.

The National Interest Security Company (NISC), www.texomats.com, and
the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) are undertaking a project to help
raise funds for our wounded troops and the support of their families
here at home. The project consist of the building of a vintage, 1919
WWI Model T Ambulance as a promotional and fund raising tool for the
AFF. In addition to financial assistance for our men and women in uniform
and their families, the funds from the project will go towards creating
recreational activities for returning troops, sponsoring scholarships
to help our troops transition back into civilian life, and to pay hotel
bills for the families of our wounded troops.

This September 11 we will be traveling with 12 wounded Marines from military
hospitals throughout the East coast to Richmond International Raceway for the
Air Guard 400. We will be honoring the victims of the September 11 attacks and
the sacrifices of our nation’s service members with special events and
a commemoration. |
