Hidden Battles on Unseen Fronts Stories of
American Soldiers with Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD

The Armed Forces Foundation's new book, "Hidden Battles On Unseen Fronts", authored by Foundation President Patricia Driscoll and Foundation Supporter / Author Celia Straus... documents the increasing number of cases of physical and mental/brain trauma such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) among our veterans returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. As advancements in medical science have allowed more of our soldiers to survive their physical wounds the veteran healthcare community faces many new challenges.

The National Interest Security Company (NISC), www.texomats.com, and the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) are undertaking a project to help raise funds for our wounded troops and the support of their families here at home. The project consist of the building of a vintage, 1919 WWI Model T Ambulance as a promotional and fund raising tool for the AFF. In addition to financial assistance for our men and women in uniform and their families, the funds from the project will go towards creating recreational activities for returning troops, sponsoring scholarships to help our troops transition back into civilian life, and to pay hotel bills for the families of our wounded troops.
