Injured Support Services

Making Visits Possible - The AFF provides funds for hospital bills and plane tickets that make it possible for personal visits. High-profile celebrities also make personal visits to show that public suppor is an integral component of the recovery process.

The Injured Support Services Program was established to serve the members of the military community who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Whether they have given their lives, or been injured in combat, these services show our wounded warriors how much we appreciate their sacrifices.

Every month the AFF holds hospital dinners for patients and staff at the National Naval Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center and H.H. McGuire Veterans Affairs Hospital. The dinners receive huge turnouts as hungry patients, hospital staff, and families enjoy catered meals. The foods for these events are supplied by local sponsors interested in helping provide injured service members with a good meal. Washington-based Sonoma Wine Bar is a key contributor to these special events. In addition, the AFF holds annual holiday dinners celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and Veteran’s Dy. These holiday dinners attempt to convey just how deeply our foundation cares about the idea of Serving Those Who Serve.
