The Kurt Busch Project
Kurt serves as a spokesman and ambassador for the Armed Forces Foundation, when he’s not driving in NASCAR’s top circuit. The #41 Stewart-Haas Chevy driver and 2004 champion is intimately involved with the AFF’s efforts and dedicates each race during the season to a service member that has been killed in action or suffers from an invisible wound of war including PTSD.
Aside from the Race Dedication program, Kurt organizes “Busch Whacked,” an annual military-inspired mud run at Texas Motor Speedway. An annual event, the run has raised more than $250,000 in its first two years.
- Raise awareness about PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and the military suicide epidemic.
- Honor America’s service members and veterans, particularly those who have been wounded in battle or have made the ultimate sacrifice.
- Better connect the NASCAR community to the Armed Forces and our veterans.
